This is a set of 3 original antique
Weston Massachusetts Land Sales agreement documents
dating from
1717 to 1759.
The first detailed Land Sale document is from 1759 between local historical figure Josiah Smith and Joseph and Thankful Bigelow. It is about 8 1/8"X13". The 3rd, 4rth and 5th images are digital scans of that document. Josiah Smith was the
owner of the Historical Josiah Smith Tavern
and was a
member of the 1st Massachusetts Provincial Congress in Concord.
The 2nd document detailed is a 1717 Weston Land agreement between Nathaniel Morse and Joseph Bigelow. The 3rd detailed document is a 1726 Weston land agreement between Joseph Livermore & Ephraim Rice. The documents are damaged with missing pieces, tears, holes, stains, wrinkles, creases, and folds and fading of ink. please see the photos for the condition of each document.
