    1850s George A Kohl Pontiled Soda Beer Ale Bottle Lambertville NJ.
    Excellent condition, light pontil residue.  Height: 7", Base: 2&7/8".  See photos.
    Kohl was born in 1802 in Easton, PA and moved to Lambertville in the mid-1830s, where he ran the George A. Kohl & Co. brewery.
    Kohl became a captain in the military in 1840 and three years later, he led a local militia called the Doylestown Guard; he also established the 80-man Lambertville Cadets, who fought in the Civil War.
