1880 Nap Guilmet Soda Bottle Slugplate Blobtop Lightning Stopper Lawrence Massachusettes Scarce
Good bottle from Nap Guilmet Lawrence Massachusettes.
Slugplate embossed name with blob top style lip with lightning Ceramic stopper.
White ceramic stopper with red lettering,Nap.Guilmet Lawrence Mass.
Bottle would date around 1880 circa.
Embossed on front,Nap Guilmet 491 493 Common St.Lawrence Mass.Registered.
A few other soda bottlers were located in the same area and street in the mid to late 1870s.
I havn't been able to track this bottler down.
Shoulder is embossed ,registered.Bottom has mold number 258.
Bottle is aqua with a very very light hue of pink.
Condition:
Nice clear aqua bottle with small lip chip,missing piece.
This has been missing since i found it.
The bottle fell over a number of years ago,and cracked at shoulder and neck.
I epoxied back together.The lightning stopper metal in very solid shape,only
surface oxidation.The stopper has small edge chip on right side near wire bail.
I dug this from a bottle dump in Victoria British Columbia area many years ago.
Scarce bottle in okay shape.
