    CROWN, NICE SIZE 8" TALL
    style
    WESTERN SODA  BOTTLE
    bottle once issued by
    "
    JACKSON BOTTLING WORKS
    "
told used in the historic highway 49 region gold rush town of
    JACKSON, CALIFORNIA
This bottle was in a large collection of western soda bottles....and immediately it just stood out...color is dark and very pronounced......since this was bought many years ago, and owner passed away, not sure if someone either left it in the hot western sun for many years.....or possibly it was artificially irradiated it....but either way, its an attractive deep amethyst color.....and it really stands out in a collection !!
Not every antique 1900 soda bottle will actually turn this color....this one must have a lot of manganese in the glass......it has a little tiny pin head size bruise on the back side, very
    minor
(see gallery) but otherwise very nice, and displays well
THIS IS A REAL SPARKLER OF A SPECIMEN, CRISP EMBOSSING, ON A SHELF FOR MANY YEARS, ORIGINAL COLLECTOR ONLY HAD ONE SODA BOTTLE IN WHOLE COLLECTION THIS DARK COLOR...
The historic town of JACKSON is located near highway 49,
    and
goes back to 1849 gold rush...located not far from Sutter Creek, Amador City and Mokulmne
    Hill
    Ca
I have inspected this bottle, seems really nice..glass is very nice, embossing is crisp, (see gallery)...Can find no cracks, no chips, or major damage just as mentioned a tiny little bruise on back (see gallery number 10 & 11), ,  ...THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOTTLE...I just got this one, and it is a real beauty,....if you hold to light you will see very crisp beautiful color (look at pictures held to sunlight).
The bottle is what I would call a deep amethyst color glass,  it stands about  8" tall ..and it is a very nice specimen...
    THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL BOTTLE
... the GLASS IS GREAT, took pictures from all angles and in different lighting conditions to show glass, neat bottle. Again, either in the sun for many years, or somebody blasted it color wise.
Gallery pictures should show you all you need to know, took pictures from many angles.
    Nice antique
    bottle,
BEAUTIFUL, BELIEVE TOUGHER TO FIND THIS NICE ...PRONOUNCED DEEP AMETHYST COLOR, WESTERN SODA BOTTLE, A NICE  SPECIMEN
to find...from old historic highway 49 gold rush town of
