    Description

    Lot of 14 Reports of the School Committee in Provincetown, Massachusetts.  Most in very good condition, please see pictures for details.
    ****Since the original listing I came across a 1901 report as well as a bound volume containing the five reports from 1895 through 1899.  I will add pictures early next week, but the bound reports are in excellent condition, and the single 1901 report is in very good condition.
    Includes 1862, 1867, 1870, 1872, 1873, 1876,  1878, 1881, 1895-1899, and 1901.  1876 is missing the front and back covers, 1895-1899 are bound in one volume.
    Some are relatively short pamphlets with a run-down of student enrollment and teacher statistics, others include longer essays/diatribes related to the school system.  1873 is the longest, with discussions of whether or not they need a school superintendent, the newly implemented grade system, the 3-hour school day, and the role of parents in the educational process.  Some funny stuff and some interesting stuff, these are pretty much fun for the whole family.
