  • Condition: This plate was part of a large collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is in extremely good condition - there are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains or marks anywhere on this item. Some extremely fine, light crazing is present in the clear glaze - primarily on the back of the plate (typical of antique china), but it is extremely minor and barely even visible. This is an absolutely beautiful plate.

    Description

    Rare flow blue Flow Blue Staffordshire Albany, New York Souvenir Commemorative Plate - made in England by Rowland & Marsellus. This flow blue plate measures approximately 10" inches across, and has a white background with deep blue images. The plate has a beautiful, distinctive rolled edge, with a decorative border featuring many prominent Albany landmarks and buildings. There is a central image featuring the New York State Capitol building. The back of this plate carries the manufacturer's mark: "The Rowland & Marsellus Co. -- Staffordshire, England".
    This plate was part of a large collection that was carefully stored away for many years, and it is in extremely good condition - there are no chips, cracks, repairs, stains or marks anywhere on this item.
