    Description

McKay & Clark, a joint venture that only lasted from 1851-1853 at 130 Franklin St. Baltimore Maryland.  While this is definitely from this Baltimore bottler, this Ten Pin does not fit the standard Baltimore Ten Pin features.  It is believed that this Ten Pin was actual blown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as the Baltimore Glassworks had burned down at this time so the molds were sent north.  The color is also more aligned to Philly glasshouses.
Emerald green, embossed: No. 130 / FRANKLIN.ST. / BALT on one side and MCKAY & CLARK  on the other.  The applied blob top is very crude, the bottle heavily whittled with a nice showing on iron pontil mark on the bottom.
This example was hand excavated from a privy and is cloudy in areas and has two fleas bits on the bottom heal.  Luckily it was covered by soft organic matter and has no case or high point wear.
I can provide any additional pictures at your request.
