You are bidding on one of the nicest looking of the early Mineral Water bottles from California. Strong embossing reads: "C. A. REINERS & CO / 723 TURK ST. / S.F. (reverse) "IMPROVED / TRADE MARK / MINERAL WATER". There's a beautifully embossed "Man in the Moon" with Stars on the reverse. Hand blown in a deep aqua colored glass by the San Francisco Glass Works, circa early 1870s. Lots of the classic curved leg "R"s on this one, a known trade made for a certain Western bottle mold maker. We note a 1/8" fracture in the top and tiny very hard to see 1/8" lip repair, both minor and barely detectable. This is one of the better looking examples we've seen, tons of tiny air bubbles, nice surface texture, strong strike and a deeper than normally seen shade.
