    C-1850’s Historic Torpedo Bottle. Condition is Used. Bottle embossed “73 Warren Street Fitzroy Square & New Road” “Moore’s Improved Double Soda Water” Aqua green color. Approximately 8 1/2” tall. Only one small chip on top with some scratches.
    George Moore lived at 73 Warren Street And was murdered there on 12-8-54 by a French revolutionary named Emmanuel Barthelemy. Also killed was a man named Collard. Several books have been written of “The Murder at 73 Warren Street” Emmanuel Barthelemy was hung in public 1-22-1855 and a wax face death mask was made and his clothes sold to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum for Chamber of Horrors.
    Emmanuel Barthelemy 1823-1855 winner of last fatal duel in England 1852. Imprisoned in France in 1839 for shooting a Police Officer during a coup attempt. Sentenced to life but released in 1847, 1848 arrested and sentenced to life for uprising but escaped to London.
