Here's a scarce early pontiled soda bottle from Columbia, Pa....

bold emb on back in large 1 1/4"tall letters.....Iron Pontil....applied blob top....aqua....long neck squat...7 3/8"tall...Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some light haze which would easily tumble clean nice because the glass is not etched or pitted. The pontil scar left no iron residue but you can feel some roughness....I guarantee the bottle is pontiled and was blown in the 1850s.  The white paint highlight can be cleaned off if you like. I guarantee the embossing is all bold ...We are thinning out some of our collection after 50 years of digging and collecting...so we can make room for MORE bottles!...haha
