    Description

By Willi Dissmann, published by Wilhelm Limpert, Berlin.  Shows only the 1938 copyright.  A scarce book found only in major library collections.  German youth indoctrination during and just prior to WW2.
Notice the belt with the knife on the front cover carried by Hitler's youth organization.  You can see in several of the illustrations what appears to be brownshirts or youth leaders addressing even younger persons.
"Pimpf is a German nickname for a boy before his voice changes. It is a colloquial word from Upper German meaning "boy", "little rascal", "scamp", or "rapscallion" (originally "little gas-bubble", as opposed to a "Pumpf", the adult variant). It has the same etymology as pimp and pimple.
In Nazi Germany, Pimpf was a term referring to a member of the Deutsches Jungvolk, the junior section of the Hitler Youth in Nazi Germany, for boys ten to fourteen. They were taught to be loyal to Hitler and the regime. Membership in the Hitler Youth was highly encouraged and incentivized during the mid-to-late 1930s and compulsory from 1939."
Dissmann wrote several books, all youth oriented with most focused on the German Youth Camps, between 1938 and about 1942.  This appears to be is first publication.
