Description
I have had this print for some 40 years. it was never hung in direct sunlight while I had it hanging. It was in storage (climate controlled) for some time. It was a brighter red when I bought it. In reading about restoring prints. I red that " lead red or "tan" was subject to changes due to its environment and that the darkening can be reversed. This picture was taken with my phone. On the lower left of the back the publisher "Woodblock Printed by H Takemura Hideo and Co 45 Bentendori, Yokohama, JapanThe "Catalogue Raisonne of Tsuhiya Koitsu" was written and published by Ross Walker

Extremely rare and probably only a single small edition published. Publisher note on verso. Published by Takemura Hideo (red seal at lower right).
As with many Takemra prints, Koitsu used his Kiyoshi seal for this spring (lower Left). This print also has strong embossing (Karazuri) giving the image a striking 3D effect.
