Fostoria Coin Glass Amber Large Footed Compote with Rim and Lid, RARE

Description

This rare vintage Amber Fostoria frosted coin glass large footed bowl with lid is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. There is an ever so small blemish on a bottom outside edge as shown in photo 6.  Also the inside bottom of the base has some minor utensil use scratches that do not even show up on photo 5. Coin glass commonly has tiny bubbles in the glass of various sizes, but this one does not.  The dated frosted coins are 1887. This item measures approximately 8 3/8" in diameter and 10 3/8" tall with lid.  The bowl is rimmed to accommodate the lid. This is a very large and heavy item.
