*Up for sale here is the very scarce hutch from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. *I believe Glendale, Pa. and possibly Mansfield, Pa. were absorbed by Carnegie, Pa. in the late 1890's to about 1900. As this bottler was quite active in Carnegie as well. Bottle would date into the 1890's era. This example is in very good shape, and has seen barely any wear. No chips, checks, brusies, pings or dings. The glass is in a pale aqua shade.
*It is crisply embossed in a round slug plate, as it reads ~ "G. FRUECHT & SONS / GLENDALE, PA." The base is plain. On the lower reverse it carries the ~ "D.O.C. 15" Pittsburgh glass house initials.
This nice example measures 6 1/2 inches tall, and 2 3/8 inches in diameter. You will be well pleased with this vintage piece of soda pop bottling history, from southwestern Pennsylvania.
