Here we have a small blown in mold/applied lip Codd soda bottle embossed on the front “This Is The Property Of/G.W. Perkins & Co./Cape Town” and embossed on the rear “J.W. Dobson/Ltd/Makers/Barnsley”.
Bottle is 7-3/8” tall and 2-1/4” in diameter and is in fair condition with moderate interior and exterior haze, a few spots of rust, a shallow 1/8” wide flake off the lip, and an internal bubble on the back of the lip that has some slight fracturing to surface (still pretty thick glass covering the bubble, so should be stable for a tumble if desired) but no other chips, cracks, or other damage.
A quick tumble would restore this to very good or excellent condition.
The photo of the back of the bottle shows a bubble that in the photo looks open but is not…it’s actually deep in the glass and fully enclosed with no fractures to surface.
This surfaced here in the US but appears to be a South African bottle.
I’m no expert on bottles from South Africa, but it does not appear to be a common bottle.
