  • Condition: no chips or cracks to bottle but blob top has a tiny chip to rim. has original wire bail on bottle but missing porcelain cap. embossing is very nice and virtually undamaged with 2 faint light pings to "O" and "N" in large New York at bottom. lots of whittle marks in glass, air bubbles, and wipe marks. please view all pics.

    Description

    here is a late 19thC aqua blue embossed HENRY TONJES & CO. 334 EAST 31ST NEW YORK Blob Top Soda Bottle with Monogram on opposite side. this antique bottle was made from a 2 part wood press and blow mold with deep bottom slug base and tooled blob top. bottle is thick and has lots of whittle and wipe marks in glass and lots of tiny air bubbles. the embossing is in excellent condition with only 2 very faint tiny ping marks one on the large "O" and one on large "N" in New York at bottom, they can barely be seen. no chips or cracks to bottle with the exception of a very small chip to top upper blob top edge as shown in pictures. this bottle has its original wire bail attached but is missing the porcelain stopper. bottle stands 9" tall with a bottom base of 2 1/4" and is sunken to approximately 1/4" deep. please view all pics and read full item condition.
