For sale here is an early, antique, aqua, blown in mold, embossed, Hutchinson or “hutch” closure type soda bottle from Gloucester, New Jersey. The bottle is embossed J. F. ZIMMER / GLOUCESTER, N. J. in a round slug plate on the front. Also embossed THIS BOTTLE / NOT TO BE SOLD on the back heel. Likely dates to the 1890s. Just under 7 inches tall. No chips or cracks. Heavy scratches, flea bites, pin heads and overall groundwear as well as some haze from being dug. Has nice character and displays well despite being a dug example.
