    Katsushika Hokusai(葛飾北斎) A genius ukiyoe artist of the late Edo period. Date of birth: October 31, 1760 Date of death: May 10, 1849 He left 30,000 works during his lifetime. Among the many types of works, "woodblock prints," "Hokusai manga," and "Ukiyoe" are the most famous.
