    Description

    I recently purchased this vintage tea set at a local estate here in Central Virginia.  The pattern is 2068A. Primrose Dale, produced by New Chelsea Staff, England.  The cheerful pattern features white ground with yellow primroses and green foliage, trimmed in green and sporting yellow handles.  The SET includes 15 pieces: a square cake plate ( 8 1/2"), 4 dessert plates ( 5 5/8"), 4 footed cups ( 2 7/8"), 4 matching saucers (5 1/2"), a cream pitcher (4" to top of handle) and a sugar bowl (3" high and 4 1/2" in diameter).  All of the pieces are in excellent condition and bear the New Chelsea Staffs anchor, Made In England green logo.  The company began using the New Chelsea name in 1912 and began using the name Royal Chelsea in1943.  The perfect set for Spring and Summer entertaining.
