Description

For your consideration is a NEW KITCHEN BATHROOM CABINET DOOR COATED CABLE LIMITER RESTRAINT PROTECTOR KIT. Cable is approximately 11" long, constructed of g
alvanized steel wire rope, nylon coated, 7x7 strand core, 1/16" coated od, with 270 lbs breaking strength.
Kit includes assembled cable and two
#8 X 1/2" wafer head phillips mounting screws. This nylon coated cable will s
top the ruining your beautiful cabinet doors, appliances, and/or walls.
Easy to install:
Measuring from hinge post out, o
n the top under side of the door frame, make
a pencil mark at 6 inches. Be sure to favor the back of the door frame about 1/4" with second mark (see last photo).
Wrap a piece of tape 1/2" or less from the end of a 3/64" drill bit, then drill a pilot hole for screw up to the tape.
Secure one end of the cable to the door frame. Be sure the connector is parallel to the door frame and crimp dent is against frame (see last photo).
Hold the cabinet door opened avoiding the obstruction (appliance, wall, etc...), usually about 90 degrees.
While holding the door at the desired location, place the other end of the cable to the door, mark center of the connector. Be sure this mark is approximately 1/4" lower than the door frame to allow the cable to settle inside when the door is closed (see second photo).
B
e sure the door thickness is greater than 1/2" thick before drilling and using the 1/2" screws supplied.
Using the 3/64" drill bit (already marked with tape
1/2" or less from the end)
, drill a pilot hole for screw up to the tape. BE CAREFUL not to drill through the door.
Secure other end of the cable to the door with the
crimp dent against the door (see second last photo)
