    This is a 8" x 11"
    Nishimura Hodo
    giclée
    reproduction print of a Japanese
    ukiyo-e
    (woodblock print) from c. 1938. It is titled "
    Oumo
    " (parrot) and was created by the shin-hanga artist
    Nishimura Hodo
    know for his
    Kacho-e
    or "birds & flower" scenes. Published by
    Takemura Hideo
    .
    Nishimura
    was thought to be an in-house artist for the publisher and little is known of his biography.

    giclée print. It
    is from a very high resolution scan
    taken of
    the original
    Yoshitoshi
    print in our Shogun's Gallery collectio

    with a state of the art flat bed scanner. It is printed on acid free archival fine-art paper with highly fade resistant pigment inks.
