    *Up for sale here is a piece of early 1900's souvenir china, which shows a horrific scene of an oil tank fire in the Olean, New York area near the railroad tracks. This unfortunate incident occurred in March of 1903. Many have perished This leaf shaped pin dish disaster scene example is in near perfect shape. There is some wear on the gold gilding, but there are no chips or hairlines. It has an old smoking pipe attached. Quite ironic.
    *It reads below the multi-colored scene ~ "OIL TANK FIRE, OLEAN, N.Y." On the back it is marked ~ "Made in Germany". This pin dish measures 4 1/2 inches by 4 inches across. You will be pleased with this piece of "dark history", from Cattaraugus County New York.
