    This work is
    a Bijin-ga (beautys
    print) by Chikanobu. He was a student of Kunichika and Toyokuni III.  His specialities were prints of beauties and warriors's prints. This print in the series " Setsugekka "( Snow,Moon,Flower) . it represents the princess San no Miya, the wife of Prince Genji with a cat . Above them, we can see aristocrats playing kemari, ( Japanese football).
