    WELCOME TO THIS SALE!!
    RARE FIND!
    100% Original
    1888 Grand Dedication Ball Ticket/Admission
    New State Capitol Building
    Austin, Texas
    Friday May 18th 1888
    Issued to Honorable RH Burney.
From what I understand, the current Texas State Capitol is the 3rd building to serve in that capacity.  The 2nd Texas State Capitol was built in 1853, and was destroyed in the Great Capitol Fire of 1881. The New and current Capitol building was constructed from 1882 to 1888. The structure was dedicated and celebrated during a week long celebration in 1888.
The Ticket belonged to the Honorable Robert Henry Burney~ from Kerr County Texas - Texas Ranger, State Senator and District Judge.
    The Ticket measures approximately 3 1/4" x 1 3/4"
Very good condition for its age, though there is a diagonal tear mid bottom about 1/2". Minor edge and surface wear.  Please see photos.
    Rare addition for collections!!
Payments by PayPal only and must be received within 2 days end of auction please. Shipments Mon-Fri. Thank you!  I appreciate your business!
