    *Up for sale here is an earlier hutchinson soda from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in a very rare darker amber color. This example should date into the 1880's era. May have contained some sort of alcoholic champagne cider drink. This hutch is in good shape, but has some lip chips which favor the left side. Bottle has no cracks. Displays nicely as it is. Please see all of the pictures.
    *It boldly reads on the bottle open face ~ "C. FRIEL / PITTSBURGH / Pa". On the base it has the "C.F." initials embossed for this bottler. Then on the lower reverse it is embossed ~ "D.O.C." initials, for this Pittsburgh glass house. Bottle has seen some light wear, and is a bit hazy in areas. A light tumbling would help out a lot.
    This Allegheny County example measures 6 1/2 inches tall, and 2 3/8 inches in diameter. You will be quite pleased with this vintage piece of soda pop bottling history, from southwestern Pennsylvania.
