Rare c1874 Western Embossed Soda "Stephens & Jose, Virginia City, Nevada" XLNT

Description

Offered here is an extremely rare applied top (gravitating stoppered bottle style) Western Embossed Soda "Stephens & Jose/Virginia City/Nevada" on the front and a very stunning "SJ" monogram on the back.  On the bottom it is embossed with "Gravitating Stop Made B"
on the periphery
and inside with "John Matthews New York Pat Oct 11, 1864.  Stephens & Jose were located on C Street in Virginia City and produced this bottle for one year only, 1874.  These are probably the most popular and desirable Nevada Soda among collectors due to age, rarity, and fancy lettering.
Bottle stands 7 1/4 inches tall, and is a medium aqua in coloration.  It is a nice crude specimen with a large more crude top than most other specimens known to exist.  You can see from the photos that the top is actually lop-sided on the right.  And lots of tiny seed bubbles and whittle/waviness to the glass everywhere!  Last but not least, check out the huge enlongated bubble that starts above and goes through the top half of the SJ monogram.  This bubble is NOT open!  There are
no
chips, dings, flashes, potstones or bruises on the bottle.  There is what looks like chip right after "Stop" on bottom (like there was another "p" that broke/chipped off).  But if you look closely with loop and in light this is just a manufacturing defect with like a blob of glass in that area, which is smooth.  I guarantee this is NOT a chip, just in-making.
