Here is circa 1850-1855 iron-pontiled soda that I recently dug in a Philly privy. The pontil is very prominent (see pics). The top is an
applied blob.

deep grass green
Height:
7 7/8"
Condition:
very good - perfect structurally with no chips, bruises, dings or cracks. There is a 1/4" shallow open bubble near the bottom that doesn't detract.
This was only rinsed out and never tumble cleaned. So it has patchy stain, a bit of dirt still, and some spotty modest wear
that could be polished up if desired.
