In this listing we have a replacement Barbie body from Mattel. Thisbody uses the “curvy” body type with the flat foot mold. It has amedium tan skin tone which is a bit orangy and is articulated at theneck, shoulders, and hips. This doll was made in China and the headthat originally came with it did not have head glue, so the neck knobis free from glue residue!
This body is brandnew and from a just removed from the box doll. It's in very niceshape, but does have a few minor flaws. Starting at the top andworking down. The neck knob is in nice condition. There’s a coupleminor stress marks. They are mostly at the top of the post, but thebottom of the post did get a little stressed with taking the doll’shead off. This shouldn’t affect using a new head on it. The torsolooks good, there are some faint scratches to it in a few places,including some at the top of the chest. The arms look decent. Both ofthe upper arms have the issue where the plastic has a bit of atextured effect to it. It’s kind of a surface issue, but also kindof a below the surface issue. It’s really hard to describe. You cansee it in pictures, but it’s more obvious in person. I’ve beenseeing a lot of dolls with this issue. The upper arms don’t look assmooth as they could be, but they don’t feel rough or any thing.There’s large mold injection spots on the back of the doll’s armsat the shoulders. The doll’s arms also have the issue where there’sa line on the arm and below the line the plastic has a matte finish,above the line it has a shiny finish. The legs look very good, theyof course have that line below the knee where the plastic has more ofa matte finish, but lately that's just how all the dolls are made.Their seam lines are very noticeable and a bit raised. The legs alsohave some molded in lines in a few places, and some minor surfaceimperfections. Would work well for play, display, or a replacementbody.
