TWO Vintage HIROSHIGE Block Prints-Takashi Beach & Ishiyama Temple-As Is-NR

For sale are two later printings of two fine Japanese woodblock prints by Hiroshige Ando, as is.  The paper mountings both measure 9 7/8 inches wide by 14 1/2 inches tall; the prints themselves are 7 3/4 inches by 11 7/8 inches.  The print subjects are the Takashi Beach in Izumi and the Ishiyama Temple on Lake Biwa, both from the series “Famous Places from the Sixty-odd Provinces”.  The prints are mounted to the backing paper along the right side. The prints were taken from badly damaged frames; I salvaged the label from the back of one as shown.
Condition on the pictures is fair.  The paper is badly yellowed from light exposure, noticeable when the print edges are lifted.  The back papers have water damage, and the Lake Biwa print has some water spots on the back but they aren’t really noticeable on the front.  Still some nice genuine Japanese woodblock prints by a master artist!
