    Description

    This auction is for a very old embossed M. KEANE blob top soda water bottle from Kentucky I believe.
    I was told this bottle was made between 1860-1880 but I do not know if that is true.
    I am not a collector or a bottle expert so please use my photos as your guide and ask questions as needed.
    There are no cracks and only one small chip on the bottle.  That chip can be seen in photo #9.  It almost looks like someone shot a BB at the bottle and it bounced off the very thick glass but left a very shallow chip.  In fact, the chip is so shallow you can barely feel it.  Under a 1/16 of an inch for sure.
    The bottle measures approximately 7 inches tall.  It has signs of age with surface marks etc., including some great bubbles in the old glass.  The bottle does have a hazy finish throughout.  I’m not sure if it is on the inside or outside.  The embossed letters are very pronounced, including “THIS BOTTLE IS NEVER SOLD” which is under the M. KEANE that also wraps around the bottle.
    Overall this is a very nice bottle in my opinion.  The cobalt blue is dark and very beautiful with light behind it.  Much nicer than the photos were able to capture.  Thank you.
