    Description

    Vintage heavy turquoise glass Bieber Polar Co. (now Polar Corp.) soda bottle in good condition for its age. The front shoulder of the bottle is embossed BIEBER POLAR CO.  Embossed around the bottom front is REG. 113 SUMMER ST.  8 OZ.
    The back of the bottle is embossed  WORCESTER. MASS.  The bottom rear appears to read 19N (not quite sure).  No chips or cracks.  A few scratches, especially near the neck and mid-body, are evident which are commensurate with age.  This bottle was rescued from the bottom of Lake Quinsigamond in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.  It was retrieved near Plum Island / Tatassit Beach where there was a social club in the early 1900s.  People would drink their beverages at the water’s edge and then just toss their bottles into the lake.  Bottle measures ~ 8 1/2” long and 2 1/8” in diameter.  Please see photos for condition.
