    Description

    I will be listing a group of nice Antique and Vintage Paintings and Artwork over the next couple of weeks. Many by Listed Artists. Paintings gleaned from various estates around New England.

    Here is a
    Lovely VINTAGE JAPANESE WOODBLOCK PRINT "RAIN AT ASAKUSA KANNON TEMPLE" by TSUCHIYA KOITSU (1870-1949).
    Entire paper measures 15-3/8" x 10-3/8". There is a paper watermark symbol in upper left corner. Lovely, strong colors to this woodblock.
    This woodblock may have been either matted or framed at one time in it's history with slight trimming to paper edges. Mild toning visible in the margins. A very small hole spot near bottom of print where the rear side of paper was scraped (see front and back close-up photos). Not very noticeable from a normal viewing standpoint. A couple of mild bends in lower right corner of paper, but also not very obvious. I'm not an expert on Japanese woodblocks myself.
