    Description

WW2 1942 HANDBUCH DES MACHINENBAUES (Mechanical Engineering) C.G. Röder Leipzig
994 pages of the Handbook of Mechanical Engineering by O. Ludwig. Other editions of this book were published well beyond the WWII years, so I'd imagine that this was the book for mechanical engineering in Nazi Germany. That being the case, I'd think it was at the desk of most every engineer who designed everything from tanks to planes to manufacturing equipment. I looked up the publisher C.G. Röder, and it was bombed and the factory was mostly destroyed by Allied bombing in 1943. I have no idea how many copies of this book survived the war, but it was a high-end book that would have been stored in areas most likely to be targeted by bombers.
